weekly newsletter Mar 31, 2024

COUNTDOWN TO THE FINAL FOUR!

Collectives have played a pivotal role in college athletics with their ability to retain (and even recruit) players. To make an impact on retention, funds need to be raised. March Madness is proving to be the perfect time to raise said funds.

Take a look at how collectives are benefitting from their teams being in the Final Four below.

UConn - Bleeding Blue for Good

  • Prior to the March Madness tournament, Bleeding Blue for Good released a commercial featuring the men's and women's basketball players asking for monetary support.
  • The collective is selling autographed basketballs by the 2022-2023 Men's National Championship Team for $500 each.

Alabama - Yea Alabama!

  • After making the Elite Eight, Yea Alabama hosted a fundraiser trying to secure as many $8 donations as possible. They received nearly 300 individual donations!
  • Yea Alabama is hosting a Final Four ticket sweepstakes. Any one-time contribution counts as an entry into the sweepstakes.

NC State - One Pack

  • One Pack hosted an official watch party earlier in the tournament. Entry cost $10 and benefited the collective. At the watch party, there were exclusive raffles attendees could enter.
  • DJ Burns is crushing the competition. One Pack teamed up with DJ Burns to release an exclusive merch line to support "the NCAA tournament's most beloved big man".
  • One Pack is hosting a competition to win tickets to the Final Four game in Arizona. The grand prize includes airfare with the team to Arizona, accommodations in the team hotel, and tickets to the Final Four. To enter fans must donate to the collective.

Purdue - Boilermaker Alliance

  • The Boilermaker Alliance hosted an official watch party in Chicago. 10% of all sales benefitted Purdue NIL. Attendees were also able to enter exclusive raffles.
  • Every round Purdue advances, the Boilermaker Alliance releases exclusive merch with the Purdue NIL Store. They released a Final Four line today with three designs but also have a Sweet Sixteen merch line available.
